You should contact the insurance company and have the automatic payment cancelled. The insurance company can also arrange for a credit to be issued for any debits made in error to your Bank of America account. You should also contact Bank of America customer service and inform them that you are disputing the ACH debit transaction.

Most insurance policies do not have a cash value. This means that all the money you pay in premiums is used to "insure" you. If you don't need the insurance, or if you cancel the insurance, you will not receive any of the money you have paid in premiums.

Thank you for your question.

I just cancelled dismemberment insurance with AD&D, which you carry. I've been contributing $198.00 dollars, a year, since 1999. They tell me on the telephone that I won't get a dime of that back. Why? That's what I cannot get explained to me, the why of it. I could of been buying dental coverage, or something.
