Heinz,
LoveToKnow is an information-only site. To change your current plan or enroll in a new health insurance plan you need to contact the provider directly. I suggest that you first contact United Healthcare and see if they have a lower premium plan that meets your needs. For example, you may find that you are not using all of the features of your current plan. United Healthcare has several plans. They may be able to direct you to a plan with less benefits or higher copays, either of which would result in a lower premium.

-- Contributed by: Tamsen ButlerUrgent. I purchased an insurance policy that would pay so much for each day that I was hospitalized regardless of what other insurance I have. I need to submit two claims with United Health Care (AARP Health Care Options Program) for seperate hospital stays. Where should I send the claim.

To find out if United Healthcare offers this option with your policy, contact a representative: (800) 444-6544
-- Contributed by: Tamsen ButlerI am 65 years old and have Medicare as my primary insurance and AARP United Healthcare as my secondary insurance. I know that other insurance carrier cover all or at least part of the Silver Sneakers Program at our local Y. Since I do the majority of my exercise in the pool at the Y, I was wondering what benefits AARP United Healthcare offers to help with the cost of my Y membership? Thank you kindly

-- Contributed by: Tamsen ButlerYou have a computer voice that has called me 3 times, she pronounced my name wrong & it doesn't respond. If you want to call me again it needs to be a live person,I will not talk to a computer voice. Thank you, Jan Heintzel
-- Contributed by: Janet HeintzelMr. Shildmyer, it can be incredibly frustrating to encounter conflicting information when trying to get the cost of medication. If the representatives at United Health Care are not giving you the information you need, have you considered contacting AARP directly and complaining about this situation? Even though AARP does not directly issue the insurance policy, there is still a corporate partnership that makes AARP accountable.
-- Contributed by: Tamsen ButlerWhy is it that when I contacted United Health care three time today to get a cost on a drug I got three different prices. And when I spoke with a floor supervisor he refused to give me a price and any help at all. My wife has been a menber for four years and I am going to get insurance within the next month. All I wanted was a price and not a run around. I found the supervisor very evasive and not will to help. Very unprofessional. L. Shildmyer
