Sue,

Your insurance company should be able to tell you how they are ruling on the issue of who was more responsible in each of the two accidents. They make take the information in the police reports into their decisions. Read the fine print in your insurance policy and see whether it says that they will pay your medical expenses or "reimburse" you for medical expenses. If they only reinburse, you can talk with the customer service people, explain your situation; however, it is very likely that they will stand their ground and only agree to reimburse.

My car was hit two times in less than a month. I cannot get an answer which insurance company is "more" responsbile? Yes, hit in same place on car. I sustained more painful injury on second one, however, FARMERS won't pay for my medical, they want me to pay and they will reimburse, I cannot afford too. THANKS!!!

As a provider of legal Insurance, I found the information on this site to be very informative yet incomplete. The main thing people need to understand is your insurance company doesn't always have your best interest at heart. They have their bottom line at heart. Your 1st call should be to your attorney in order to insure your legal rights are protected and to make sure you don't limit yourself to any compensation you may be owed. Honestly do you think the insurance company really wants to pay you full value for your claim if they can avoid it?

Samantha,

Any damage or loss to your personal items due to a car accident may be covered by your car insurance. You need to check your policy and speak with your car insurance representative. Personal items may also be covered under your homeowner's policy. Again, check your policy for details of your coverage.

Thank you for your question and for visiting LoveToKnow Insurance.
