60 minutes had an expose on United Health care having to pay 53 million dollars to NYS because they defrauded consumers.

I want to know what AARP is donig to protect me since i buy my insurance thru AARP even though AARP subcontracts the insurance thru united Health Care.

I have been having problems with the cost of my Medicine and was paying $70.00 for my crestor. I just called up and complsined and the girl told me that in 2009 the drug went from atier 3 to a tier2 so I would only pay $38.00 for it in 2009.

I am very concerned about not being fully covered if I need physican coverage and it is not covered by my AARP Medicare supplement because United Health care is cheating us older citizens.

Please get back to me with answers and options if we think we need to change to another insurance carrier because United Health Care is being indicted by the NYS Attorney General for fraud.

Thank you.

Thomas, I suggest you contact the Department of Insurance or Insurance Commissioner for the state you live in. If AARP is ignoring your requests it may be time to seek assistance from a third party.

AARP has been taking a monthly premium out of my Medicare ins. AS WELL AS accepting a monthly payment sent in by me. Many phone calls have instituted no responses, as promised. This is totally unacceptable!!!! I have left 5 messages with promises of follow-up; including a return call from a supervisor/work order department. Nothing has happened and what is the next step???? You have my money!!! Social Security has been contacted, since they have been taking money out of my monthly check.
