COBRA benefits are extended to family members who were also covered under the insured person's policy. This means that a wife, child or other dependent is still covered for health insurance if the insured maintains the COBRA coverage. Just like with the individual coverage, the monthly premium costs will usually increase while under COBRA coverage.
